2012 Isuzu Ascender performance review accessory

2003 Isuzu Ascender Photo

The perfectly sized 2012 Isuzu Ascender is a smooth-driving, fuel- conscious, parking-space friendly SUV that outperforms the competition wherever you take it. The truck comes standard with a third-row seat that easily accommodates two adults, boasts more than 100 cubic feet of cargo space, and boasts up to 7,200 pounds of towing capacity. These features only skim the surface of the car's greatness - something we'll delve into more specifically in our 2012 Isuzu Ascender review. If you're looking for information about Ascender performance, or you want a catalog of some of the available Ascender accessories, this is the right place, so keep your browser pointed here. We look forward to calling you a repeat visitor, and are already excited to see you again.

Everything about the 2012 Isuzu Ascender begins with the engine, so that's where we'll begin our Ascender review as well. The SUV boasts a standard 4.2-liter, Inline V-6 engine that produces 275 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and delivers 275 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,600 rpm. The SUV also is available with a 5.3-liter V-8 engine that produces 290 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and delivers 325 pounds-per-foot of torque at 4,000 rpm. Ascender performance is further enhanced by sequential multi-point fuel injections, platinum-tipped spark plugs, and a standard, automatic 4-speed transmission with lockup torque converter and overdrive. Lastly, all Ascender models also feature independent coil-over-shock front suspension and five-link rear suspension with coil springs and double-acting hydraulic shock absorbers.

So far, Isuzu has not made public much of the information about safety and design features on the 2012 Ascender, but we have been able to research a few items for our Ascender review here. For starters, on the design front, we know the Ascender includes the following amenities:

  • Integrated rear climate controls

  • Integrated rear audio controls

  • Split-glass, two-option tailgate

  • Leather seating

Isuzu also has made dozens of Ascender accessories available for the SUV, including roof racks, tow packages, cargo nets, and special leatherette seat cushions to protect your seats from permanent harm. We pride ourselves on offering all of the latest information, and will add more Ascender accessories info to our Ascender review as we receive it.

Finally, when you buy an Isuzu Ascender, you know you'll have your car in one piece for a while. With antilock brakes, airbags, and pretensioning seatbelts, the cars are safe to drive and safe to ride in. Furthermore, thanks to Isuzu's 7-year/75,000-mile warranty, you know your satisfaction won't end once you leave the dealership.
